CASPAR TO PURCHASE NEW TANKER IN MAY-JUNE
Baku, February 22 (AzerTAc). The Azerbaijan State Caspian Sea Shipping company (CASPAR) will acquire a new tanker with the capacity of 13 tons in May-June this year.
Caspar chief Aydin Bashirov reported the tanker is being built by the Krasnoye
Sormovo shipyard with the construction already 50% complete.
From 2009, Russia put a lid on navigation of vessels aged over 30 through its
territorial waters. Given 80% of dry cargo ships have been used over 25-30 years,
Caspar started refurbishing them.
