Egyptian relics, mummies to be displayed in Seoul

SEOUL, Feb. 23 (Yon hap) -- Hundreds of ancient Egyptian relics and mummies will
be displayed at a Seoul museum for four months later this year, an event to
celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first modern museum in Korea, Egyptian
embassy officials said Monday.

Titled "Pharaoh and Mummy," the exhibition will feature 231 pieces of authentic
artifacts originally displayed in the Vienna Art History Museum in Austria, they
added.
It will open April 27 and run through Aug. 30 at the National Museum of Korea in
central Seoul, also providing visitors with a chance to experience Egypt's
traditional food and recipes as well as various video clips on the North African
nation.
