CONFERENCE ON RESULTS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF STATE PROGRAM OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF REGIONS UNDERWAY IN BAKU

Baku, February 23 (AzerTAc). A conference on results of implementation of the “State
Program of socio-economic development of regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan” has
today started at Gulustan palace in Baku.
President Ilham Aliyev is participating in the event.
A photo exhibition is launched in the palace`s foyer to feature what had been done
in the country`s regions over the past five years. Local companies from the
country`s 9 economic zones are also displaying their products here.
President Ilham Aliyev viewed pavilions of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the
ministries of communication and information technologies, culture and tourism, youth
and sports, and tourism, as well as Azerenerji, Azerigaz and Azersu.
The President familiarized himself with products covering various fields, including
oil and energy, construction, light industry, food industry, tourism, health,
agriculture, computer technologies, household appliances, and wine-making.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the quality of the products, and stressed the
importance of increasing the manufacture of high-quality products.
Afterwards, the conference kicked off. The President made a speech at the event.
