GEORGIAN VICE-SPEAKER MEETS WITH AZERBAIJANI PARLIAMENTARIANS
Baku, February 23 (AzerTAc). Vice-Speaker of the Georgian parliament Pridon Todua and his accompanying delegation met here today with members of the Milli Majlis standing commission on social policy.
Chairman of the commission Hady Rajabli briefed Todua on the standing commission`s
activity. He noted the commission is preparing laws on the health, youth policy,
refugees, women and children, labour relationship, social security of population.
Since 1995, some 30 laws have been enacted. Two laws adopted by the Milli Majlis
were accepted as model laws by the UN and CIS Parliamentary Assembly.
Parliamentarians of both countries shared their views on the situation of the state
and private healthcare, targeted social assistance, medical insurance, poverty level
and other issues.
