AZERBAIJAN-BELARUS BUSINESS FORUM HELD IN BAKU
Baku, 25 February (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) yesterday organized an Azerbaijan-Belarus business forum in Baku.
Together with 40 Azerbaijani businessmen, about 25 Belarus entrepreneurs
representing various fields, including timber industry, machine building, meat and
milk production, light industry and construction attended the forum.
Speaking at the event, Governor of the Minsk Province Leonid Krupets gave detailed
information about his province. He said light industry, agriculture, timber and
machine-tool industry have well developed in the province.
The Governor praised progress of Azerbaijan`s economy, saying his country, as well
as the Minks Province will use the country`s experience.
Azerbaijani deputy minister of economic development Mikayil Jabbarov said
Azerbaijan-Belarus intergovernmental economic commission makes great contribution to
advancing bilateral economic ties.
Jabbarov said trade turnover between the two countries makes USD 100 million, adding
‘there are huge opportunities for further expanding it’.
Ambassador of Belarus to Azerbaijan Nikolay Pastkevich, deputy chairman of Executive
Committee of the Minsk Province, AZPROMO`s department chief Anar Guliyev and other
speakers stressed importance of further development of economic ties between the two
countries.
