PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV ATTENDS INAUGURATION OF BAKU BRANCH OF MOSCOW STATE UNIVERSITY AFTER M. V. LOMONOSOV

Baku. February 27 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev has attended today inauguration of Baku branch of Moscow State University after M. V. Lomonosov.

A Russian delegation led by head of the Russian President`s Administration Sergey
Naryshkin also attended the event.
The President congratulated students and teaching staff of the Moscow university`s
Baku branch. He said its opening is “yet another evidence of the level of relations
and humanitarian cooperation between our countries.”
Sergey Naryshkin called the opening of the Baku branch of the world-renowned
university “a remarkable event for both Russia, Azerbaijan and the whole CIS,
especially since 2009 is declared the Year of Youth across the Commonwealth.”
He also thanked the Azerbaijani leader for the attention he pays to preserving and
developing the Russian language.
Rector of the Moscow State University Victor Sadovnichiy in turn said his university
highly praises the Azerbaijani President`s contribution to developing education.
