ANNIVERSARY OF KHOJALY GENOCIDE COMMEMORATED IN MOROCCO

Rabat, February 28 (AzerTAc) Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Morocco organized Thursday a ceremony to commemorate the 17th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.

The event was attended by members of the Morocco-Azerbaijan Friendship Society and Morocco-Azerbaijan Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group, journalists, several ambassadors and others.

Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Morocco Sabir Agabayov briefed the participants on
atrocities committed by Armenians against the Azerbaijani people.
He also spoke of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s efforts towards making the world
community known about the Khojaly genocide.
The event`s participants saw a documentary featuring the massacre. They were also
handed over books on the tragedy prepared by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
A statement on the 17th anniversary of the genocide prepared by the Embassy was
forwarded to Morocco`s Foreign Ministry, parliament, all embassies accredited to the
country, as well as media outlets.
