AZERBAIJAN`S AMBASSADOR TO ANKARA MEETS TURKISH STATE MINISTER FOR EUROPEAN UNION MEMBERSHIP TALKS

Ankara, March 3 (AzerTAc). Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkey Zakir Hashimov met
with the country`s State Minister for European Union membership talks Egemen Bagis.
Zakir Hashimov said fraternal relations between the two countries were developing
day by day, and that no force could harm them.
According to him, Turkey-Azerbaijan relationship is a model for the entire world.
The ambassador also pointed out that his country supports Turkey`s possible full
membership of the European Union.
Egemen Bagis, in turn, said close relations between the two countries contribute to
promoting peace and prosperity in the region.
The Minister also added that Turkey-Azerbaijan ties play a significant role in the
process of talks with the EU.
The Turkish minister stressed Ankara`s possible EU membership would also be
important for Azerbaijan and the entire Turkic world.
