New Ambassador to Switzerland appointed
(KPL) Mr. Choummaly Sayasone, President of the Lao PDR presented yesterday a letter of credentials to Mr. Yong Chanthalangsy as a new Lao Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Switzerland. He also received his credentials as a permanent representative of Laos to the United Nations in Geneva.
Mr. Yong Chanthalangsy is expected to leave Laos for Switzerland by the end of this month.
President Choummaly advised the new diplomat on the foreign policy of the Lao government. His duties will include the gradual development of the solidarity, co-operation and mutual assistance between Laos and Switzerland.
