AZERI CHESS PLAYER BEATS CZECH RIVAL IN CAPPELLE LA GRANDE FESTIVAL

Baku, March 4 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani chess player Ulvi Bajarani has defeated Czech
Roland Salvador in the third round of the annual Cappelle La Grande festival.
Other Azeri players Rashad Babayev and Nijat Mammadov drew with Russian Evgeny
Vorobyov and French Jean-Pierre Leroux respectively.
The Swiss system tournament brings together 600 chess players.
Azerbaijani Vugar Hashimov holds the champion title of last three tournaments.
