Laos, Vietnam to install 826 border marks in four years

(KPL) Laos and Vietnam plan to complete installing 826 boarder marks in four years. These include 265 marks in this year.
Laos and Vietnam begun discussing border demarcation implementation in 2003, according to a meeting to disseminate works on border demarcation and border marks renovation between Laos and Vietnam to local authorities and border provincial committees in 10 provinces, which was held on Tuesday in Vientiane.
The meeting was under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Thongloun Sisoulith. It is aimed to make the participants understand project analysis on border demarcation and border marks renovation of Laos and Vietnam, the budgeting for border demarcation and the cooperation between both countries on border issues.
On this occasion, Dr Thongloun provided vehicles and equipment to the officials working in area of border dermarcation between Laos and Vietnam.
The package includes personal computers, laptops, power generators, copy machines and telescopes.
