ERC branch in Al Ain provides 89,000 iftar meals during Ramadan

AL AIN, 24th May, 2018 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, branch in Al Ain has provided, since the start of the Holy Month of Ramadan, 2,955 daily iftar meals to underprivileged and needy people, through 27 Ramadan tents around Al Ain, totalling 88,650 iftar meals so far. The ERC branch is conducting several projects during the Holy Month of Ramadan, 1439 Hijri Year, including its Ramadan Iftar project that is worth AED1,108,250. The branch’s local aid section also distributed Ramadan box coupons worth AED598,600 to 277 vulnerable and needy families who are registered at the branch, as well as other charity coupons to 282 families worth AED163,650.
