UAE participates in preliminary committee meeting of 15th Arab International Conference

RABAT, 28th June, 2018 (WAM) -- The UAE, represented by the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation and the Ministry of Energy, has participated in the preliminary committee meeting of the 15th Arab International Conference on mineral wealth in Rabat, due to be held in Cairo. The conference will be organised from 26th to 28th November, under the title "Mining Investment and Economic Development in the Arab World." It will be held under the chairmanship of Adel Al Saqr, Secretary-General of the Arabic Industrial Development and Mining Organisation, AIDMO. The preliminary committee three-day meetings, which concluded on Thursday, provided an opportunity to discuss the topics that will be included in the conference, namely the reality and perspectives of mining investments and mining regulations in the Arab countries, geological exploration, mining exploitation, modern technologies, mining, extractive and other topics. The UAE will present a number of technical working papers reflecting the country's development in this vital sector, using the best available technologies and focusing on the sustainability of natural resources and sustainable development in this sector.
