AZERBAIJAN, IRAN SIGN DOCUMENTS

Tehran, March 10 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan and Iran signed here several
intergovernmental documents in the presence of President Ilham Aliyev and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Iran`s Finance and Economic
Affairs Minister Shamseddin Hosseini signed the Agreement for the avoidance of
double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income and
on capital between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government
of the Islamic Republic of Iran; Azerbaijan`s Economic Development Minister Shahin
Mustafayev and Iran`s Commerce Minister Masud Mirkazemi signed a Protocol on
comprehensive cooperation on economy and trade between the Government of the
Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Iran`s Acting First
Vice-President Hamid Dagai signed MOU on cooperation in tourism between the
Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Islamic Republic
of Iran.
Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Iran`s Acting First
Vice-President Hamid Dagai signed MOU on cooperation in the sphere of cultural
heritage between the Ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Cultural Heritage,
Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Iranian President`s Advisor on
cultural affiars, Director of National Library and Archives Ali Akbar Ashari signed
an understanding memorandum on cooperation between Azerbaijan National Library and
National Library and Archives of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Chair of Azerbaijan State Statistics Committee Arif Valiyev and Head of Iran`s
Statistics Center Mohammad Madad signed an understanding memorandum on cooperation
in the field of statistics between Azerbaijan State Statistics Committee and Iran`s
Statistics Center.
Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and his Iranian counterpart
Manouchehr Mottaki signed an understanding memorandum on cooperation on postal
issues between Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the
Republic of Azerbaijan and Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies
of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
