Projects of space sphere

Astana, March 12, 2009 (Khabar) - President receives National Space Agency chairman. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev also welcomed the Republic’s National Space Agency chairman to his Ak Orda residency. Talgat Musabayev informed the head of state about the agency’s activity concerning the implementation of a number of projects such as the creation of Kazakh Russian French satellite systems, space craft assembly plants and the development of the Baikonur launch pad as well as Kazakhstan astronauts’ flights. The agency chairman also reported on the preparation of a state programme for the development of the national space activity scheduled until 2020.

- The President has asked to create a fully operating space industry in Kazakhstan. We will be doing our best to make this system become a vital part of the Republic’s economy.
