BAKU TO HOST 6th AUTOSHOW AND 3rd AUTOPARTS EXHIBITIONS
Baku, 13 March (AzerTAc). The 6th international automotive exhibition autoshow 2009 and 3rd Azerbaijan International Spare Parts, Accessories and Service Equipment Exhibition will be held on 26-29 March in the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Exhibition Complex.
The organisers of the AutoShow exhibition are Iteca Caspian LLC and ITE Group PLC. The Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan, Head Office of State Road Police and Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation officially support the exhibition.
The automobile industry in Azerbaijan is developing rapidly. Despite the financial crisis which has affected all aspects of the global economy including the automobile industry, this part of Azerbaijan’s economy still remains an attractive market for international companies. The Azerbaijan government has worked to increase its citizens’ buying capacity and, consequently, the demand for cars has grown. In 2008, automobile sales rose by 35% compared to 2007.
This year, the exhibition will occupy two pavilions, as well as the outside area around the complex. 50 leading brands from European and Asian countries are participating in the exhibition, representing Italy, Turkey, Iran, China and Russia. Local companies, including distributors for international automobile brands are also expected to participate in the event. Manufacturers from India will take part in the exhibition for the first time in 2009.
The exhibition AutoShow 2009 will present: cars, vans and pick-up trucks, lorries, motorcycles, municipal engineering machinery, public transport and insurance options. In the “Special Transportation” section, a presentation of different leisure and racing yachts will be held. The “Commercial transport” sector will be widely represented with exhibits including; passenger buses, tractors, dumping lorries and semitrailers for transporting different kinds of products.
For the third year, the AutoShow exhibition is held alongside the AutoParts exhibition which presents spare parts, accessories and maintenance equipment.
Various presentations & workshops will be held at the exhibition, along with several competitions for the visitors and exhibitors, making the exhibition an unmissable event for automobile enthusiasts.
AutoShow exhibibition has been the only event in the region demonstrating the latest innovations of the automobile, spare parts and accessories market for the last six years. The exhibition will provide the opportunity to establish business contacts and obtain information about products available in the automobile industry.
