PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV ATTENDS CEREMONY TO INAUGURATE NATIONWIDE LEADER HEYDAR ALIYEV`S MONUMENT AND TO PRESENT STANDARD TO MILITARY UNIT OF NATIONAL SECURITY MINISTRY

Baku, March 14 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan President, Supreme Commander-In-Chief Ilham Aliyev has attended here a ceremony to inaugurate nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev`s monument and to present a standard to a military unit of the National Security Ministry.
Minister of National Security, Colonel-General Eldar Mahmudov reported to the Supreme Commander-In-Chief.
The President first inaugurated nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev`s monument, laying flowers at its foot.
Eldar Mahmudov thanked the President for the attention he shows to the national security bodies. “A lot of work has been done to strengthen the material and technical base of the ministry” the Minister said. President Ilham Aliyev viewed the military unit. The facility has a large hall, library, canteen and sport city.
The Supreme Commander-In-Chief viewed photographs depicting nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev`s attention to the army building and President Ilham Aliyev`s contribution to developing the national security bodies.
President Ilham Aliyev viewed the canteen and the unit`s territory.
Afterwards, he attended a solemn ceremony to present the standard to the unit.
The Supreme Commander-In-Chief greeted soldiers.
The President`s order on presentation of the standard to the unit was read out.
President, Supreme Commander-In-Chief Ilham Aliyev presented the standard to the military unit and congratulated its personnel.
The personnel took an oath of loyalty to the standard, Motherland and Supreme Commander-In-Chief.
