PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV OPENS MINISTRY OF DEFENSE INDUSTRY`S “RADIOGURASHDYRMA” RADIO ASSEMBLY FACTORY AFTER RECONSTRUCTION
Baku, 16 March (AzerTAc) President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has opened the Ministry of Defense Industry`s newly reconstructed radio assembly factory “Radiogurashdyrma.”
The Head of State first laid flowers at the bust of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev erected in the factory`s courtyard. Then he cut a red ribbon symbolizing official opening of the factory and toured it.
Minister of Defense Industry Yavar Jamalov provided the President with detailed information about the enterprise and, generally, on the work done by the Ministry since it was established in 2005.
The President viewed production process and an exhibition of the factory`s products, including those manufactured in collaboration with foreign companies.
The factory manufactures 26 kinds of products. Over 10 million manats worth of goods is produced here annually. The products having highest technical specifications are designed to be used in force structures.
The factory also began to produce competitive products of civil and double assignment.
Its administrative building covering an area of 1800 square meters and having a 250-seat conference hall has been completely overhauled.
The Baku radio assembly factory, the first one in Azerbaijan`s electronic industry, was established in 1947 under the then Ministry of Local Industry. In 1980, it started manufacturing various kinds of electronic components for computers produced by plants of the Ministry of Radio Industry of USSR.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the work done and gave necessary instructions.
