SURABAYA ALSO TO HAVE AN INTEGRATED HEART TREATMENT CENTER

Surabaya, E Java, March 17 (ANTARA) - The government planned to build an integrated heart treatment center at the dr. Sutomo hospital in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.

Minister of Health Siti Fadilah Supari and East Java Governor Sukarwo signed a memorandum of understanding on the project at the opening of the national health working conference in Surabaya Tuesday night.

At the opening of the conference attended by 1,800 interested circles of the medical profession at central and regional administration level the governor said right now East Java is in need of an integrated heart medical treatment center.

He said in the area there are 48 government hospitals and 223 private hospitals, but none of them has a an integrated heart medical treatment center.

"Consequently, many East Java heart patients needs to seek help in other parts of the country or seek such help in another country," he said.

The project to be built at the dr.Sutomo hospital is expected to provide good heart medical treatment for the people of East Java and its surroundings.
In Indonesia, the only integrated heart medical treatment centers are located in Jakarta and Bali.***
