CHAIRMAN OF AZERBAIJAN CONSTITUTIONAL COURT MEETS DELEGATION OF GERMAN SOCIETY FOR TECHNICAL COOPERATION
Baku, 19 March (AzerTAc). Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev today has met here with a delegation of German Society for Technical Cooperation (GTZ).
Abdullayev said Azerbaijan had been carrying out successful judicial and legal reforms, noting the role of the “Support of Legal and Judicial Reforms in Azerbaijan” project, which was launched by GTZ in 1998, in this regard.
“The project played very important role in bringing Azerbaijan`s laws in line with international standards” the Chairman of the Constitutional Court said.
Touching upon the court`s international relations, Farhad Abdullayev noted the GTZ also made great contributions in this regard.
He expressed assurance the cooperation between Azerbaijan`s Constitutional Court and GTZ will further develop.
Lothar Jahn, head of the delegation, said their visit aims to define future targets of development of bilateral cooperation.
He said GTZ`s new project manager will be introduced to Azerbaijan`s government in June.
The meeting also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
Following the meeting, the German delegation viewed the Constitutional Court.
