AZERI DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER VISITS UK
Baku, March 20 (AzerTAc). Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov paid a working visit to the United Kingdom on March 19.
During the visit, Azimov held several meetings in the country`s Foreign Office to discuss prospects for bilateral relationship. The sides praised current level of cooperation between the two countries.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, they noted that it hinders regional cooperation and the South Caucasus region`s integration into Europe.
As part of the visit, Azimov also delivered a speech at Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) on the situation of security in the South Caucasus and development tendentious.
Azimov underlined that regional conflicts must be settled on the basis of the principle of territorial integrity. He noted the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict poses a threat to not only the security of the South Caucasus, but also Europe.
The event was attended by diplomats, experts, journalists and others.
During the visit, Azimov also gave interview to BBC Azerbaijani and Russian services.
