AZERBAIJANI, ITALIAN AND SYRIAN MUSICIANS GIVE CONCERT AS PART OF INTERNATIONAL MUGHAM FESTIVAL
Baku, March 21 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani, Italian and Syrian musicians have performed a concert at the Mugham Center here as part of “The World of Mugham” international festival.
The concert was opened by Azerbaijan People`s Artist Mansum Ibrahimov who performed Rast (one of Mugham frets) to the accompaniment of Elchin Hashimov on tar and Elnur Ahmadov on kamancha.
The concert then featured performance by Italian Maraghi ensemble conducted by Giovanni de Zorzi.
The show also featured performance by Syria's Al-Kindi ensemble. The ensemble`s soloist is Omar Sarmini.
Azerbaijan People`s Artist Malakkhanym Eyyubova closed the concert with the “Bayaty-Shiraz” mugham set. She was accompanied by People`s Artists Zamig Aliyev on tar and Fakhraddin Dadashov on kamancha.
The concert was watched by participants of the international mugham festival and Baku residents.
