Qatar Coach Praises National Team's Performance in Asian Cup

Abu Dhabi, January 18 (QNA) - Qatar coach Felix Sanchez praised the defensive performance of Qatar's nation team as well as their attacking brilliance in the Asian Cup, hoping that the team continue to win and excel in their next matches in the tournament. Sanchez said he was pleased with the 2-0 victory over Saudi Arabia in the conclusion of the first round of the AFC Asian Cup, as the team maintained its lead for Group E and achieved the full mark after beating Lebanon and North Korea. In remarks after the match, Sanchez said the performance was good, adding it was very good to finish the first round with high spirits to celebrate wins like this. He added the match was a tough one due to the strength of the Saudi team, but the players made a great effort and played well so that good results were achieve and the top of the group was maintained. Regarding the upcoming Qatar's encounter with Iraq, the Spanish coach said he knew the Iraqi team well and the game will be difficult, adding Iraq has a strong team and distinguished players who made strong performance yesterday, and Qatar has to make a great effort to win against them.
