Youth, Sports minister visits North Sehla Youth Centre

Manama, Jan. 23 (BNA): Based on the directives of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Athletics Association, to intensify visits to national clubs and youth centres in harmony with the wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa setting the necessary strategies to advance the youth and sports sectors and in line with the Government Action Plan spearheaded by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to advance the youth and sports sectors, Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Ayman bin Tawfeeq Almoayyed has paid an impromptu visit to the North Sehla Youth Centre. The minister was briefed by the centre’s board chairman about the activities and programmes in the previous period and their positive results of on the district’s community, athletics and voluntary activities. The minister also reviewed the current status and needs of youth and sports and future progress. Almoayyed affirmed the ministry’s ushering into a new phase work strategy to revitalise the youth and sports sectors across the Kingdom’s governorates where young citizens will be able to develop and boost their creativity and innovativeness and capabilities, commensurate with "Bahrain as the Capital of Youth and Sports". The minister praised the North Sehla Youth Centre for embracing its young affiliates and offering integrated programmes that attracted the participation of local youths to develop their creative skills. The minister watched a videotape of the Bahrain-Korea AFC football match, in presence of the centre’s directors and affiliates.
