Al Gharafa Adjudged QSL Cup Semifinal Winners Instead of Al Kharaitiyat

Doha, January 28 (QNA) - The Qatar Football Association's Disciplinary Committee discussed the protest by Al Gharafa against Al Kharaitiyat for violating the rule of the number of resident players who were on the start list in their QSL Cup semifinal played on Saturday, 26th January 2019. Al Kharaitiyat had fielded six resident players in the game. The committee considered Al Kharaitiyat as losers of the match (0-3) and a penalty of QR2,000 was imposed on the basis of Article (55/1) of the Regulations of Discipline for the 2018-19 sports season. Thus, Al Gharafa qualified for the final against Al Duhail, which will be played on Thursday, 31st January, at the Al Duhail Stadium. (QNA)
