International Centre for Sport Security Participates in New Alliance

Doha, February 09 (QNA) - The International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) partnered with a number of European institutions in establishing a new alliance called Big For Sports that aims to promote good governance in sports. EU's Erasmus+ Programme is financing this program for the next two and a half years. The new project was announced at the Sports Museum in Barcelona. The idea is to establish an entity that brings together public and private sponsors and promotes confidence among all members of the sport from institutions, bodies and clubs. President of ICSS Mohammed ben Henzab said that the center continues to introduce new initiatives that deal with the shortcomings currently prevalent in sports management by focusing on good governance. He expressed his delight that the center is engaging with multinational programs in that regard. Ben Henzab stressed that credibility and transparency are among the most important foundations in the work of the ICSS all over the world and this is why we continue to put forward and implement initiatives that guarantee the protection of the future of global sport. He pointed out that international organizations will not put their funding in any program that does not meet these standards. The alliance includes a number of institutions such as Sporsora, Sports Federation Union of Catalonia as well as European clubs such as Leverkusen, Olympiakos, and Hask among others. (QNA)
