RI CYBER CRIME RATE HIGHEST IN WORLD: POLICE

Jakarta, March 27 (ANTARA) - The cyber crime rate in Indonesia is the highest in the world due to rampant hackers' incidents in the country, a police expert said.

"Indonesia recorded the highest rate of cyber crime incidents in the world," Brig. Gen. Anton Taba, expert staff of the Indonesian Police chief, said on the sidelines of the launch of the Indonesian Legal Aid Guide Book (PBHI) here on Wednesday.
He said that the rampant cyber crime incidents could also be seen from the many cases of credit card forgeries and bank defrauding.
Taba said that hackers broke international banks more often then domestic banks, however.
He said that besides Indonesia, Uzbekistan is another country which also recorded a highest cyber crime cases
