Nasser bin Hamad's inspirational leadership hailed

Manama, Mar. 11 (BNA): Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant secretary general and outgoing Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) secretary general Abdulrahman Askar thanked His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council chairman, and committee president, for giving him the opportunity to be a member of the BOC family.
Askar, who had worked as secretary general of the BOC since 2013 before being recently appointed as a permanent member of the committee board, said HH Shaikh Nasser’s confidence in him had greatly motived him to strive to develop sports in the country and promote the committee’s string of success over the past year.
Askar expressed pride in working under the leadership of Shaikh at the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. "He is a model for his vision, wisdom and leadership qualities that made him a high-class sporting leader who led the Bahrain Olympic Committee to a golden age for over 10 years that was rich with outstanding achievements," said Askar.
"I am honored to work under His Highness, from whom I have learned. He is an inspirational and a supreme leader for all heroes. He was the first supporter of us to form a model of loyalty to the nation as a leader, and I consider myself fortunate to work with one of the nation greatest symbols, who are to be remembered with love forever".
Askar said the encouragement he received from HH Shaikh Nasser had the most impact on him in achieving his doctoral degree, which was in line with His Highness's continuous keenness to stimulate the administrative competencies to acquire knowledge and obtain highest scientific degrees that would contribute to develop sports outputs.
