TURKIC SCHOLARS TO GATHER IN ISTANBUL
Baku, March 27 (AzerTAc). Scholars from Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Crimea and Turkey will come together in Istanbul late this month for a symposium to be organized by TURKSOY.
Speakers at the event`s opening ceremony will include Rector of the Maltepe University Kemal Koymen, TURKSOY director Dusen Kaseinov, Chairman of the Turkish Language Institute Sukru Haluk Akalin and Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertugrul Gunay.
Azerbaijan`s delegation will be led by Chairman of the Writers` Union Anar Rzayev.
The symposium will start with the observance of a moment of silence for prominent Azerbaijani poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzade.
