Ankara, March 27 (AzerTAc). Turkey`s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be on the agenda during US President Barack Obama`s trip to Ankara on April 6-7.
The Turkish PM said the talks with the US leader will focus on situation in the South Caucasus, particularly a Turkey-proposed Caucasus Stability and Cooperation Platform, the so-called Armenian genocide and Russia-Georgia relations.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said “strengthening strategic relations between Turkey and the United States is very important for establishing peace and stability in the region”.
Meanwhile, reports from the USA said Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Phil Gordon did not use the word “genocide” while describing the 1915 events during his speech at the Senate.
