31 MARCH – DAY OF GENOCIDE OF AZERBAIJANIS COMMEMORATED IN OTTAWA
Baku, 30 March (AzerTAc). Assembly of Azerbaijani Organizations in Canada yesterday has held a rally on the occasion of the 31 March – the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis in front of the Parliament building in Ottawa.
The rally brought together representatives of Azerbaijani and Turkish Diaspora organizations acting in various cities of Canada, including Toronto, Montreal, Hamilton, Mississauga, Waterloo and Ottawa.
Organizers of the rally spoke of the historical facts of genocide committed on 31 March, 1918, against Azerbaijani Moslem population and that Azerbaijanis time to time had been subjected to terror and genocide by Armenians.
