BELGIAN SENATOR MEETS WITH HEAD OF STATE COMMITTEE FOR REFUGEES
Baku, March (AzerTAc). Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Working with Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov met with Belgian senator Mrs. Dominique Tilmans and her accompanying delegation.
Ali Hasanov briefed the Belgian delegation on the problems of people who became refugees and IDPs in the wake of the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan. According to him, all refugee camps were shut down in Azerbaijan.
Hasanov told of President Ilham Aliyev`s stance on the conflict, OSCE Minsk group activity and UN resolutions, which remained unimplemented.
Belgium delegation saw a film narrating on the history of the conflict, social problems of refugees and work done to improve their living conditions.
Tilmans thanked for the information as it helped to acquire knowledge about the problem.
The meeting was attended by department chief of the Administration of the Cabinet of Ministers Gurban Sadigov, MP Sabir Rustamkhanly.
