EXHIBITION OF AZERBAIJANI PHOTOGRAPHER OPENED IN TBILISI

Tbilisi, 31 March (AzerTAc). The Konalo picture gallery of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, hosted a personal exhibition of the Azerbaijani photographer and cameraman Rafig Gambarov. The exhibition officially started with opening remarks of Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia Namig Aliyev. The ambassador thanked Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO for assistance in organizing the event.
The exhibition featured 40 Gambarov’s photographs depicting prominent personalities of Azerbaijan, Baku sights, “Black January” tragedy, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and other themes.
Well-known Georgian singer and actor Vakhtang Kikabidze said such events unite Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Also the exhibition was attended by governor of Kvemo Kartli-Borchaly region of Georgia David Kirkitadze, deputy governor Huseyn Yusifov, Georgian President’s adviser Mubariz Garayev, rector of Tbilisi State University Georgi Khubua and others.
The attendees were given a book entitled “The March 1918 developments in Azerbaijan” by Aydin Babayev.
