SOCAR DELEGATION ATTENDS GETENERGY CONFERENCE IN LONDON
Baku, 31 March (AzerTAc). The delegation of SOCAR led by its Vice-President Khalik Mammadov participated in the annual international GetEnergy 2009 Global Education and Networking Event in London.
SOCAR and Azerbaijan State Oil Academy`s stands featured materials reflecting rich experience of the ASOA in personnel training.
Members of Azerbaijani delegation met representatives of bp, Schlumberger, Halliburton companies, Heriot-watt, Manchester, Liverpool, Texas A&M, Texas-Petex, Colorado Mining universities, Petro Skills, NEXT, IHRDC as well as other organizations specializing in global education. The conference also featured a session on oil and gas training and education in Azerbaijan addressed by by Khalik Mammadov and pro-rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy Ramiz Humbatov.
The delegation also met with Azerbaijani SOCAR scholarship recipients studying in the London-based universities.
The GetEnergy Conference & Exhibition annually attracts more than 400 people from over 35 countries representing national oil and gas companies, international oil and gas companies, governments, universities, and training providers, with the goal of forging relationships between these various institutions to enhance global training and education related to the energy sector.
