BLACKPINK's 'Kill This Love' hits 300 mln YouTube views in one month

SEOUL, May 7 (Yonhap) -- The hypnotic video of K-pop girl band BLACKPINK's latest single, "Kill This Love," has garnered more than 300 million YouTube views in one month since its release last month, the band's management agency said Tuesday. Following its official release on April 5, the music video passed the 300 million YouTube mark early Tuesday morning, becoming the fastest K-pop act to reach the milestone, according to YG Entertainment. It took 32 days and four hours for the female band to hit 300 million views, about twice as fast as their previous hit single "Ddu-du Ddu-du," which took 68 days to hit the same mark. The sensational girl band made K-pop girl band history with "Kill This Love," becoming the first Korean female act to have a song chart on the Billboard main singles chart, the Hot 100, and the Top 100 Official Singles Chart in the United Kingdom for three and four weeks in a row, respectively. pbr@yna.co.kr (END)
