Aspire Zone Welcomes Long-Distance Running Legend Paula Radcliffe

Doha, May 15 (QNA) - Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) welcomed Wednesday British marathon legend Paula Radcliffe, who paid a visit to AZF to find out more on its facilities and its leading sports services. The long-distance runner began the visit with a tour of Aspire Academy, where she got to know about its facilities and the talents it nurtures. She also visited Aspetar, the world's leading specialized orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital. Chief Administrative Officer of the hospital Khaled Ali Al Mawlawi accompanied the legend on the tour, providing an overview of the services Aspetar provides to athletes. Radcliffe also visited Khalifa International Stadium, the first of the World Cup 2022 stadiums to be ready. She said that she looks forward to following IAAF World Athletics Championships, which will take place in Doha next September. She added that she was pleased with her visit, particularly on getting to know what Aspire and Aspetar do to help nurture young sports talents. (QNA)
