AZERI EMBASSY IN JAKARTA REMEMBERS DAY OF GENOCIDE OF AZERBAIJANIS
Jakarta, March 31 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan’s Embassy to Indonesia has organized a commemorative event on the occasion of the 31 March – the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis.
The ceremony, which took place in the Kharisma Bangsa Indonesian-Turkish school, started with the observance of a minute of silence.
The event brought together student and teacher stuff of the Kharizma Bangsa and Pribadi schools, employees of the Embassy and representatives of the Azeri diaspora.
The ceremony was aimed at raising the awareness of participants about the 31 March – the Day of genocide of Azerbaijanis when hundreds of civilians were brutally killed by Armenians.
Speakers at the event praised the nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev’s role in giving a political and legal assessment to the genocide.
The Embassy distributed brochures and books about the bloody events among the commemorative ceremony`s participants.
