AZERTAC, KABAR SIGN NEWS EXCHANGE DEAL

Baku, 1 April (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency, AzerTAc, and Kyrgyz National News Agency, Kabar, have signed an agreement on news exchange.

AzerTAc and Kabar are closely cooperating within the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) and Union of Turkic speaking News Agencies (TKA), the organizations both agencies are members of.

The agreement allows both agencies to freely exchange news stories about their countries` life both within and beyond their borders, and also spread them in local media. In accordance with the agreement, the agencies will provide information support during reciprocal visits by presidents and top officials of both countries, and also conduct an exchange of journalists and photo correspondents.

The sides also agreed to provide technical support to journalists accredited in the two countries.

AzerTAc attaches a particular importance to establishing direct cooperative relations with leading news agencies of Europe and Asia to raise awareness of the international community about Azerbaijan`s realities.
