AZERI FINANCE MINISTER MEETS DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF OPEC FUND FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN BAKU
Baku, April 1 (AzerTAc). Finance Minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov met Wednesday with visiting Director-General of the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) Suleiman Jasir Al-Herbish and his accompanying delegation.
Prior to the meeting, the delegation visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev.
They also laid flowers on the grave of renowned ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
Then, the delegation visited the Alley of Martyrs to pay respect to brave sons of Azerbaijan who died for territorial integrity and independence of their country
During the talks, Sharifov said relationship between Azerbaijan and OFID was successfully developing.
According to him, practical steps are taken in the country to deepen bilateral ties.
Jasir Al-Herbish, in turn, expressed satisfaction with development of relations between Azerbaijan and OFID.
He underlined his visit to Baku would contribute to enhancing bilateral cooperation even more.
According to him, the fact that OFID attaches significant importance to expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan is related to the country`s successful economic development, favorable business environment created here.
Following the meeting, a credit agreement was signed between “Azerigazbank” Joint-Stock Investment Bank and OFID.
