Qatar National Football Team Arrives in Brazil

Rio de Janeiro, May 28 (QNA) - The Qatar national team mission arrived Monday in Brazil ahead of their participation in the 2019 Copa America from June 14 to July 7. Qatar play in Group D, along with Argentina, Paraguay, and Colombia. The first batch of the national team traveled on May 22 to Texas in the U.S. for a training camp then they traveled to Rio de Janeiro today. The second batch of players traveled on Sunday to Brazil to join their teammates after finishing the AFC Champions League matches with their team. The national team camp will be held in Portobello, Rio de Janeiro, where the team will complete preparations ahead of the tournament. Qatar are set to play a friendly match against Brazil on June 5 at Mane Garrincha Stadium in Brasilia. The team will play another friendly on June 9, but the opponent is yet to be determined. (QNA)
