Asian Beach Handball Championship: Qatar Beat Indonesia 2-0

Weihai, June 16 (QNA) - The Qatari beach handball team beat Indonesia's 2-0 today in the 7th Asian Beach Handball Championship held in Weihai, China, which will run until June 24, leading to qualification for the 2020 World Championships in Italy. This is the second win for the Qatari team after beating the Philippine team 2-0. The Qatari beach handball team will play their 3rd match on Monday against Afghanistan, with a rest on Tuesday before playing their fourth match against China Taipei on Wednesday and then Vietnam on Thursday. The team have qualified for the World Championship 2020 in Italy. The Qatari beach handball team also won the Asian Championship in its final edition held in the Thai city of Pattaya in 2017 after winning the final against Oman 2-0. Qatari team aim to with for the fifth consecutive title in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017, ensuring the World Championship 2020 in Italy for the fifth time after participating in the 2010 edition in Turkey, where they won tenth place, and the 2012 edition in Amman and the 2014 edition in Brazil.
