`AZERBAIJANIS PLAY IMPORTANT ROLE IN LIFE OF DAGESTAN`
Baku, April 3 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijanis living in Dagestan are playing important role in the country`s life, Dagestan’s Deputy Minister for Youth Affairs Gapiz Gapizov told an AzerTAc journalist.
"There are many Azerbaijanis in Dagestan, and among them are scientists, doctors and even ministers" said Gapizov.
He also praised relations between Azerbaijan and Dagestan, saying "they have always been at high level".
Gapizov reminded a protocol of intention on bilateral cooperation in sport and youth matters which was signed in early April, expressing confidence "it will contribute to further expanding cooperation between our countries` relevant authorities".
The protocol provides for conducting youth exchange and holding cultural and sporting events.
