BRYZA DUE TO DISCUSS REGIONAL MATTERS IN BAKU

Baku, 3 April (AzerTAc). Head of the Public Relations Department of US Embassy in Azerbaijan Terry Davidson has revealed the purpose of the official visit of Matthew Bryza, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs and the American co-chair of the OSCE Minsk group, to Azerbaijan. The one-day visit kicks off today and will include meetings with Azerbaijani officials.
Mr. Bryza is scheduled to discuss Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the US-Azerbaijan bilateral relations and regional matters. According to the US Embassy spokesman, the US State Secretary Hillary Clinton said she hoped the process of negotiation within the OSCE Minsk group will yield a number of positive results. Bryza`s trip is also aimed at discussing the run-up for the next meeting of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Armenian President Serzh Sarkisyan, according to Mr. Davidson.
