IGDIR OFFICIAL RULES OUT REOPENING OF ARMENIA-TURKEY BORDER

Baku, April 4 (AzerTAc). Head of the Igdir Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kamil Aslan stated he does not want reopening of Turkey-Armenia border and called on those who seek to open it to think rightly.
Igdir journalist Serdar Unsal told AzerTAc latest press reports about US President Barack Obama`s visiting Turkey and imminent opening of Turkey-Azerbaijan border on April 16 made Igdir society seriously concerned. “Turkey has its own policy. We do not believe the border will be opened unless Armenia gives up its loathsome claims. We do not want reopening of borders as long as lands of our brotherly Azerbaijan are under occupation,” Aslan told Anadolu news agency. According to him, while opening of the border meet interests of some forces, it contradicts Turkish national interests.
Everyone knows about Armenian terrorist organization Asala`s killing Turkish diplomats, Armenia`s showing Turkish lands as its territory, so-called “Armenian genocide claims”, their wanting compensation and then lands from Turkey, the fact that millions of Azerbaijanis were forced from their lands by Armenian aggression. Therefore, there is no way the border could be opened unless Armenia give back Azerbaijani lands.
