Flow of Russian tourists to Indonesia rises 15% in 2019 - deputy tourism minister

MOSCOW, July 30. /TASS/. The number of Russians travelling to Indonesia in the first five months of 2019 increased by 15.5% in comparison with the same period of 2018, Indonesia's Deputy Tourism Minister Nia Niscaya said at a news conference held in TASS news agency on Tuesday. "The number of Russian tourists constantly goes up. According to statistical data in January- May of the current year (and that is the freshest data), the growth is the highest because of Russian tourists, if compared with all European countries," she noted. "We see a growth of 15.5%." The deputy minister added that the tourist flow from Russia amounted to 33%, compared with 2016. According to her, fewer Russian holidaymakers come to Indonesia than to Vietnam and Thailand, but more than to Singapore and Malaysia. Moscow’s Red Presnya park will host the fourth Festival of Indonesia on August 2-4. On August 1, a Russian-Indonesian business forum will take place. Read more
