YUSRIL: GOVT'S WRONG POLICIES TRIGGER POVERTY OF PEOPLE

Pangkalpinang, Apr 5 (ANTARA) - Chairman of the Star Crescent Party's Advisory Board Yusril Ihza Mahendra said the government's wrong policies could trigger poverty in the country.

"There are many government wrong policies which increase the growth of poverty," said Yusril in an outdoor campaign oration in Pangkalpinang, Bangkal Belitung province, Sunday.

According to him, some policies issued by the government like policies on the economy, agriculture, marine and infrastructure development seemed to have deviated from their original objectives.

"It is the people who often fell victim of the government's wrong decisions," he said.
"Nobody wants to be poor, but poverty is only a destiny set by Good. Poverty is inseparable from infrastructure and government's policies," he said.

"This country had enough money collected from retribution, tax, excise, but still unable to improve the life of the people," he said.
