AZERBAIJANI WRITERS CONCERNED WITH NEWS ON TURKEY`S INTENTION TO OPEN BORDERS WITH ARMENIA

Baku, 6 April (AzerTAc). Deeply concerned with the news distributed in media on alleged intention of Turkey to open the borders with Armenia, the Azerbaijani writers have made a statement on the question. The Statement runs: “Even a little probability on opening of the borders with Armenia who doesn’t refrain from the idea of falsified “genocide”, its policy of occupation of the Azerbaijani lands, seriously worries us. The Union of Azerbaijan Writers considers that this contradicts the interests of national interests of the Turkish people and the entire Turkic world.”
“We consider that opening of the borders will be disrespect to the memories of tens of thousands of Turks slaughtered by Armenians and such behavior of compromise will harm the historical traditions and moral values of the Turkic nation. Such a step would have negative impact on the fraternal relations and public contacts expressed in the principle of “one nation, two states,” the Statement stresses.
