PARIS DEPUTY PROSECUTOR VISITING AZERBAIJAN

Baku, April 6 (AzerTAc). Mrs Francoise Guyot, Deputy Prosecutor at the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office visited Azerbaijan at the invitation of the State Committee for Family, Children and Children Problems. The visit took place within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation between the State Committee and France`s Ministry of Employment, Social Cohesion and Housing
The aim of the visit is to share experience between the governmental agencies of the two coutries in responsing to violence against women, and role of law-enforcement bodies in such cases.
Chairpeson of the State Committee Hijran Huseynova briefed Guyot about women`s policy acheivements. Azerbaijani women became more active in the socio-political life. They are proving thier worth in making decisions both in the family and politics.
Husenova stressed the importance of such visits for experience exchange. She expressed confidence that Azerbaijan-France cooperation will sucesfully continue in the future.
Guyot told of the French government`s efforts towards resolutionof women`s problems.
Following the meeting, Guyot held a training for representatives of NGOs and governmental agencies.
She is going to conduct trainings at the Prosecutor`s Office, Ministries of Justice and Internal Affiars.
Guyot is an expert in this sphere. She delivered reports at the seminars and trainings held in Marocco, Nikaragua, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Democratic Republic of Congo
