AZERBAIJANI MINISTER OF NATIONAL SECURITY MEETS DIRECTOR GENERAL OF HUNGARIAN NATIONAL SECURITY OFFICE

Baku, 7 April (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s National Security Minister Eldar Mahmudov met Director General of Hungarian National Security Office, Major- General Sandor Laborc who is participating in celebratory events marking the 90th anniversary of the founding of Azerbaijan`s national security bodies.
Mahmudov informed his Hungarian counterpart about the Ministry`s reforms, as well as works on fighting terrorism, illegal migration, illegal drugs trade and organized crime.
The Minister also talked about Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, saying “negative processes happening in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, are causing serious concern not only for the region, but also for the European countries”.
Laborc said he is “very impressed” by his first visit to Azerbaijan.
He praised current level of the Azerbaijani-Hungarian relations, saying his visit will contribute to strengthening these ties.
The meeting also saw discussion of various issues, including the importance of conducting exchange of experience and information.
