“AS LONG AS THE OCCUPIED TERRITORIES OF AZERBAIJAN ARE NOT FREED, SAUDI ARABIA WILL NOT ESTABLISH DIPLOMATIC TIES WITH ARMENIA,” SAUDI ARABIA`S NEW ENVOY

Baku, April 8 (AzerTAc). Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov received Wednesday the copy of credentials from Saudi Arabia`s newly appointed ambassador to the country Fahd bin Ali al-Dusari.
During the conversation, the sides expressed satisfaction with the fact that the two countries have friendship, understanding and mutual trust.
It was stressed that visits made by national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to Saudi Arabia contributed to developing bilateral relationship.
Elmar Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan has special attitude towards Saudi Arabia.
The Minister thanked to Saudi Arabia for the fact that the country has always been supported Azerbaijan`s stance on settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Mammadyarov pointed out that his country shares Saudi Arabia`s position on resolution of the Middle East crisis. He underlined official Baku is interested in establishing peace in the Gaza Strip, and intends to help with reconstruction of the area.
Ambassador Fahd bin Ali al-Dusari said that his country is ready to assist Azerbaijan in solving its problems. According to the diplomat, as long as the occupied territories of Azerbaijan are not freed and the country` territorial integrity is not restored, Saudi Arabia will not establish diplomatic ties with Armenia.
The Ambassador highly valued Azerbaijan`s stance on resolution of the Middle East crisis and its efforts to help with Gaza`s recovery.
